I’ve been wearing the Maven X HOTSWAP Thermal Denim Pants all winter at my job at Trader Joe’s, and I’m genuinely impressed. Unlike regular jeans that trap moisture and let cold air seep in (which actually makes you feel colder), these keep both the moisture and cold air out. The difference is noticeable—I stay comfortable whether I’m outside on our loading dock or in the dairy cooler pulling product.

What I love most is how they move. The stretch is fantastic—I can squat and bend all day without any restriction. The inside has a soft, brushed feel that’s exceptionally comfortable, while the outside looks like regular denim. I get compliments on them all the time! And the 10 pockets? I use every single one. My phone, keys, gloves, box cutter, and everything else I need all have a proper place.

My only wish is that Dovetail would eventually launch a version made from natural fibers like cotton and wool, as I’ve been gradually moving toward those materials for health reasons. That said, I love that Dovetail is made by women for women, and these pants are incredibly functional—they’ve become my go-to for work. I hope to see them in major retailers one day! If you’re tired of freezing in regular jeans, these are definitely worth a try. Highly recommend!

These HotSwap pants are great...as the title of this review says, they are warm, tough, and amazing, just like we are. What could be better than pants designed by women for women? I am so grateful to have stumbled up this company and the quality items they make.

These pants are tough on the outside, but not stiff or crunchy. They have a nice feel to them that moves with you. Inside, they are a very soft flannel-y feel which definitely stops the cold Michigan winds when I'm outside.

Loads of pockets, a slim cut (but not too slim), and ready for just about anything you can toss their way.

I will say the sizing was a little weird, and I had to send my initial pair back and downsize 2 full sizes, even though I had purchased a Maven X (not lined) in a completely different size. Strange. That would be my only caution about these....just watch your sizing, as they did run big.

Love how comfy and stretchy these cozy mavens are. I could wear them everyday in the PNW winter. Sizing is a bit weird; I wear a 6 in regular Mavens, so tried a size 4 last year but was still pulling them up all the time, so gave those to my mother-in-law and ordered a 2. I have never been a 2. They are snug in the waist but not uncomfortable and I love how they fit everywhere else (I have small hips)! Would love another pair in a different color!

Ive been buying these pants for thr past couple years. I have gone through 2 pairs and wear them 2-3 times a week. PLEASE MAKE THEM IN ANOTHER COLOR!

LOVE these! I bought a black pair last year and the overalls a couple years ago. I work outside 10-12 hours a day year round and I cannot say enough good things about these pants. They stretch and move with me, warm and somewhat snag Proof.
