Props to our friends at Foison Textiles in China, who sewed this product. This facility is powered entirely by solar. Oeko-Tex and WRAP-certified, Foison is truly being the change we want to see in the garment world.

Chill meets chore in easy stretch cotton.

  • Midweight stretch cotton twill
  • Fabric weight: 10.5 oz
  • Fabric content: 57% cotton/ 25% polyester/ 14% modal/ 2% rayon/ 2% LYCRA® spandex
  • High stretch

This cotton blend has deep stretch, a delicious drape, and just the right touch of heft to get you off the couch and into a project. And hot damn, that color! This is no regular navy. A fancy dye process adds a special something extra, catching all that rich color in the creases. Yum.

Other color options:

You got 'em dirty, now get 'em clean.

  • Turn inside out.
  • Wash cold.
  • Hang dry. If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.

We get it's tempting to wash those dirty pants in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. The planet will thank you too.

Comfy like joggers, but looks like utility pants!

I love everything I've gotten from Dovetail, but these are my favorite so far! I wore them casually, to church, and to work (field engineer) and they work in all environments. The pant width (slim?) is perfect for sneakers or boots. Fit is exactly as expected per the sizing chart for me.

Best work pants!

I have been searching for non-belted, comfortable, yet tough work pants for a while now. Being as I work on a farm and have my own property, I needed something I could get down and dirty in and not have to worry about tears or wear. These have been the best I’ve found and will be ordering another pair!

Cozy and functional

I have bought these in the past and i love them. They are cozy enough to be in relax mode and sturdy enough for when you need to get a job done. I like the pocket zippers, they come in handy so I don’t loose my valuables.

These are winners!!

I just bought a second pair when this review email came in. I love the thickness, color, length, and stretch. These will be my everything pants for many years to come. They are a really nice, stretchy, thick quality, comfortable, and well fitted to my legs - everything I have been looking for. Basically, they are work tights that have substance, don't show your bootie too much, and still look sleek. I'm a fan!!

Sidenote to dovetail: I'm a huge fan of your brand, and wish you made more things with subtle/limited branding.

Comfie yet hyper-functional yet cute af

I have to have pockets, and I increasingly appreciate some stretch (Hi, menopause!). These things rock. I don't want to take them off.

I would say that the grouped sizing (2/4, 6/8, etc.) meant that I opted to go up from my normal size to be sure these wouldn't shrink to an unwearable degree like my Maven Slims have. That was tragic and I can't bear it again. ;-)

When can I expect my pre-ordered item?

Can I order the pre-order item and something else that’s already in stock?

We’ll ship the in-stock item first, and when the pre-order item is available, we’ll ship that to you separately.

What is the shipping cost for pre-orders?

If you’re only ordering the pre-ordered item, shipping is the same as our regular shipping costs.

If you’re ordering the pre-ordered item AND an in-stock item, there is a $18.00 flat fee.

Can I use a discount code?
