Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. The planet will thank you too.

Favorite work pant for summers
These are comfortable to wear all day long. I only look for the pants with the EZ waist now. They are durable but back pockets and side pockets have holes in them from tools, so that is where you see the wear on mine. Good cut, good colors. I highly recommend them.

Dovetail pants are wonderful -- not just sewn, but constructed. I have been looking for some very light, fast-drying pants for wear in summer and winter greenhouse work, and the other Dovetail styles I tried were too baggy. Finally, the Goldilocks solution! I did have to go down a size from normal, though.

When can I expect my pre-ordered item? Our current ETA for shipment shown just below the blue add to cart button on the page. There is the possibility this date may change. If it changes by more than 7 days, we will email you.
Can I order the pre-order item and something else that’s already in stock? Yes, you can! We’ll ship the in-stock item first, and when the pre-order item is available, we’ll ship that to you separately.
What is the shipping cost for pre-orders? If you’re only ordering a pre-ordered item, shipping is the same as our regular shipping costs. If you’re ordering the pre-ordered item AND an in-stock item, there is a $18.00 flat fee for your items. In-stock items will still reach you in our standard 4-10 business days.
