Old School Work Jacket preserves heritage design details from the basic duck canvas work jacket, but actually fits women, thanks to our women wear testers who put it through the paces. The classic neutral heavy-duty canvas goes with everything. This trucker packs serious stowage: 2 deep slanted front pockets, one inside pocket, and a secure chest zipper pocket that’s generous enough to hold your phone and wallet. Reinforced elbows keep you from wearing out the sleeves while you’re busting your moves. Insulated with a faux shearling lining to keep your core warm while working outdoors, but we put nylon in the sleeves, so you can easily slip it on and off. The corduroy collar adds texture and warmth. Make your moves in vintage-inspired details that add ease, like darted reinforced elbows, snap tabs, and bi-swing pleats in the back. Everything old is cool again– but this time, done right for women, by women.

  • Hang dry. If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.

We get it's tempting to wash that dirty jacket in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. Buy the jacket! You won't regret it.

I love this jacket! It feels rugged but soft and cozy at the same time and has great arm and shoulder flexibility for farm work. Since I'm a petite XXS I used the waist cinch buttons on the XS to give it more of a slim look and folded the sleeve cuffs securing them with the buttons to keep them in place. It looks and feels great now and I can still fit a bulky sweater underneath it.

If I'm being picky, the only thing I don't love is the lack of zippers on the hip pockets - your device may fall out when bending or squatting, but they did include a zippered pocket on the chest so maybe you could carry your device there if you don't need to access it often. Luckily my Dovetail pants have an easy-access device pocket so I use that instead. :)

Nice fit, great Carhartt alternative

I like to work on my truck and I need an actual comfy canvas coat that is warm but form fitting. Carhartt and dickies are a bit stiff so I gave this a shot. It def feels very nice and there's still room for movement. I am 5" tall, 120lbs and I wear S. There's enough room for layering with S while XS should fit but it's more tight.
