High Rise Stars in Stripes

High and mighty. If you’ve been on the prowl for a high-waisted work pant, Old School High Rise Pant is the one for you. It’s built with the same fit and straight leg as our much-loved Britt Utility Pant, with a generous 11” rise for those who like a bit more coverage.

Merging vintage indigo work stripes in a super stretchy lightweight denim, with pockets for days, a tool loop and reinforcements at thigh, knee and back cuff; that's as legit as it gets. So take the high road. Hit the high notes. It’s high time.

If this stripe seems familiar, good eye. Last year, we made prototypes of a few styles in Indigo Stripe Denim, a fan-fave fabric. Out of curiosity, our product developer Rachelle tea-dyed the High Rise sample. We found it perfectly Dovetailed heritage style and fantastic function.
  • Lightweight stretch denim
  • Fabric weight: 8 oz
  • Fabric content: 99% cotton / 1% spandex

You got 'em dirty, now get 'em clean.

  • Turn inside out.
  • Wash cold.
  • Hang dry.
  • If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.

We get it's tempting to wash those dirty pants in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. The planet will thank you too.

Perfect Pants

These are the perfect pants.

Not too tight around the waist and perfect everywhere else.

It’s about time I found a good pair of pants with a waist that’s actually around my waist.

I’m so tired of mid/low waisted pants being pulled down because of simple movement or just from my cell phone.

I love the way they’re built with the reinforcement on the front of the thighs and knees, just where I tend to wear out pants quickly.

buy one size smaller!

awesome pants but i am a solid 14 with a big booty and these are huge on me! i washed and hung dry and they got bigger! gonna try wash AND dry to see if i dont want to belt them at my nipples. otherwise these are awesome!

Best yet!

I love the fit. (The reviews were correct. Order a size smaller than normal.) It's such a relief to not have to keep hitching my pants up all day. Everything about them is so comfortable. More colors please!

I work at a dog kennel. These are great indoors and out, bending, playing, etc.

Excellent work pants with no worries bending over!

I have worn these a few times now and I am so pleased with them. The higher waist is great for not having to worry about exposing yourself. ;) A lot of people are saying they run large but I feel they are sized exactly as the should be for an "old school" fit. They remind me of 80's and 90's work pants. They have nice stretch to them and are comfortable all day long while being active. Yes they are wider in the legs than other Dovetail pants but that is also what makes them great for certain types of work. The hickory stripe fabric is very nice too! I will be buying a second pair of these excellent pants.
