The Day Construct Work Pant in Vintage Stretch Denim reimagines one of our original silhouettes in perfectly washed, heavyweight stretch denim that feels both timeless and modern. Designed for hard work and versatile style, these women’s denim work pants feature a mid-rise waist with a higher rise in the back for full coverage, even when bending or squatting.

Crafted with a relaxed leg that flows effortlessly over boots, these stretch denim pants deliver comfort and durability for demanding tasks. With 9 thoughtfully placed pockets—including reinforced front pockets, nested pockets, and a knee pad slot—this design is as practical as it is stylish. Built tough with double-front knees, reinforced back cuffs, and a wide waistband with a double button closure, the Day Construct pants are perfect for outdoor work and everyday wear.

We're stoked to source our cotton for this product from the Better Cotton Initiative. BCI Cotton strives to be not only better for the environment, but also for the farmers and communities who supply it.

  • Hang dry. If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.

We get it's tempting to wash those dirty pants in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. The planet will thank you too.

Run long, but Perfect length on second try

I ordered these in 4/32 and they were too long, so I'll alter that pair. Then, this time I ordered 4/30 and they were perfect length as well as perfect fit. My length is 31" and since these run long, the 30" inseam fit perfect. I love these!!! I'll probably never buy any other pants than Dovetail. So thankful that I have found this great company!

Buy, buy, buy! Do not hesitate. If you still have doubts, read my review. These pants are so comfortable right out of the shipping bag! Love the color and thickness. The stretchy jean material is comfortable to work in all day and they keep their shape. The angle of the front pockets allows me to comfortably rest my hands in my pockets. Super comfortable to wear in the garden bending and squatting. I love the fact that I don’t have to wear a belt in order to keep my pants above my hips. Thank you so much Dovetail for making really comfortable pants for women!
