I have a garden biz and needed a pair of work pants for early spring, cooler, wetter weather. These are perfect! I have been a fan of Dovetail for a few years and these are just what I was looking for. I sized down and I’m glad I did. Theystill give me the necessary range of motion I desire.

Great pants.

These babies love me, and I love them right back. The fit is great and flattering. The weight is relatively light, def not heavy, little stiff at first. The amount of stretch is perfect, and the strip at the waist is hidden (yay!) but does the job and feels great. These pants are a dark, dark blue. They are more form fitting than the Day Construct Work Pant in Vintage Stretch Denim. Those Day Construct Work pants are also amazing, but are a tougher bigger pant on me. Nice to have both.

I've owned a lot of pairs of Dovetail pants (mostly Britts) and these are by far the stretchiest and comfiest pair I've had. They have also held up remarkably well, I think the softer fabric causes less friction on the inner thigh fabric and it's held up longer than other pants I've owned. The pair I have seem to run large but I don't want to recommend sizing down since other people seem to have had success with their normal size. I've noticed that sizing consistency can be a bit of an issue with this brand, but the pants are good enough that I'm fine with exchanging for a different size when necessary, I found the Britt utility pant in grey at Toad and Co and I hope to see these there eventually too.

What can I say other than they're fantastic! Its so hard to find pants with a long inseam that aren't made of tissue paper, but I can say I'm looking forwards to wearing these pants to shreds. I'm not worried about busting the thigh seam crouching down or tearing my pockets (or having a goddamned screwdriver poke a hole in one.) I will say the top edge of the elastic in the waistband sits about a quarter inch above the denim and I find it a little uncomfortable, but ultimately worth my pants staying where I put them. The Britt X is a slightly looser fit than the Maven X of the same size, mostly looser in the thigh and imperceptibly in the waist.
