Bust a move, not your pants.

The Britt Utility in Reinforced Indigo Denim is our new straight-leg fit, relaxed through the hip and leg, with room for boots, using ConeStrongTM fabric that has been engineered with advanced fiber technology for superior strength and durability compared to traditional 100% cotton denim. With polyester woven into both the warp and the weft, this industrial strength, 11-oz fabric is no mere working stiff. Its gusseted crotch, double front, extra pockets, and articulated knees mean that, just like you, this work pant does more. So yeah, of course the guys are jealous.

NOTE: We recommend staying True to Size in this style. For more details, take a couple minutes to see our Size Guide.

BIG TIME Fit issues

Website says order these true to size and the canvas, size up. Canvas fits well sized up. Denim does not fit well true to size. I would need to lose at least 2 inches on my waist to get these buttoned comfortably— which, don’t got me wrong is a nice aspiration— but for now I have one less pair of work pants. I had purchased these so that I could wear them in the kitchen (I’m a chef) and not have them look like legit work pants which the canvas most certainly do, especially since I’m in the dirt gardening with them and cleaning out the chicken coop, hauling crates, doing all the homesteady things I do when not at my professional job. It’s always a bummer when you spend premium dough on a product you had high expectations for then falls short. That being said I have 2 pair of the canvas britts and I ADORE them. My advise, size up for all of these pants, especially if you want the pockets to be functional (ie. If the pants are that tight you can’t get tools in the pockets which are a gigantic selling point).

Dovetail Workwear

Depending on body shape and the fabric, the fit can differ from person to person. I'm sorry the sizing wasn't quite right for you, luckily returns are free if you'd like to try the next size up.

Love! But does run small.

I love these pants! They do fit tighter in the quads than they do in the waist, which is actually nice if you are climbing a lot. Super easy to lift a leg up. I am 5/4", 150 lbs, and muscular. I usually wear a size 6/28 and in these pants I wear a size 10. The 28" inseam was perfect for me.

Been looking for the perfect work pants

I work in automation support in a large warehouse. I needed some pants that are sturdy, move with me easily as I'm on the go and climbing around equipment constantly and have pockets that can fit a multitude of tools. These and the Mavens hit every mark spot on. Also come in a size that's usually very hard for me to find because I'm roughly hobbit sized. Dovetail has a new costumer for life.

Forester

I can't say enough how much I love these pants. When I started working in the woods, I had to wear pants from the boys section in order to find anything durable enough. Dovetail Workwear is a heaven sent for those of us struggling to find durable attire that can cut it in the workplace but still is made for a woman's body. I have told two of my female coworkers about these pants, and even though we've all tried and worn different brands, we all agree that these are by far our favorite. They have just enough stretch to be comfortable doing physical tasks but not enough to feel like you're wearing a size bigger by the end of the day. The double-knee front is a necessity for us in woods work. The leg opening fits well over my work boots. I find them fairly true to fit. I am 5'0 and 145 pounds, have some hip and thigh - usually wear an 8-10 and got a 10 in these.

Size up!

I just got my pair of Denim Brit in the mail and I was so excited to put them on! I have two pairs of the Mavens from the Moxie & Moss days, size 31/32. I usually wear between sizes 29-31 This works out to be sizes 8-10 in most other jeans I've purchased. The size 10 in the Brit has at least another couple of inches to go before they'll do up, so I find the hip sizing too small here. The thighs fit like a dream though. I know I've gained a few over the winter, but not that much! I would suggest that the 10 in this style fit more like a 7/8 on the hips. I'll be exchanging for a 12....but I'm a little nervous they might still be a little snug. I suggest sizing up on these when purchasing.

That being said, I LOVE the relaxed thigh in this style. I'm a women with more athletic thighs and while I llike my Mavens as an attractive work pant and the waist is sometimes even loose on me, the thighs have very little give and I find it tight when bending over or kneeling. The Brits are everything I want in a work pant if I can get the hips right. I lament is that it'll be at least another week or two before I get to wear these!
