I bought these about a month ago and wanted a chance to wear them and wash them before reviewing. I have been very happy with them! They are a little looser than my mavens, in a good way, because they have a little less stretch. They didn’t bleed in the wash (cold wash w color) and didn’t shrink in the dryer. So far, very comfy for all day wear, when working (building, digging, yard work) and just hanging out.

I’m very happy with these pants.

Ok. So I started off with my first pair of Dovetail pants being the Britt X Ultralight pants. Those pants are so badass and I think they are great, but in the calves they felt more like skinny jeans to me. So I returned them. This pant is one of the few sold by Dovetail with a straight leg. I was hopeful they would work out…and they did!! Splendidly. The fit is great throughout (no tightness in claves) and they still have tons of awesome pockets. I also like that when your pockets are full, there isn’t restriction of movement. Sometimes something in your pocket prohibits squatting down. But not in these pants. Such excellent design!! Full bend with cell phone in side pocket.

DT recommended I buy an 8. I usually wear a 10 so this seemed crazy to me. But, the 10 is a little big. I was going with my own knowledge of how I wear pants but also assuming they will shrink some overtime, maybe.

But one wash and no change in fit. (Though Idid line dry them instead of using the dryer.) I was also afraid with the cranberry color they would bleed-NO BLEEDING in the wash. I washed in cold, but still I expected at least some bleeding the first wash so I threw a color grabber in-no red. Amazing.

To help with the fit I did dry them half way on second wash and fit is better. So maybe go with what DT tells you at purchase and go from there. I still like how they fit and think it will work better with me over time.
