Inspired by the wondrous women we met at the Northwest Maritime Center’s She Tells Sea Tales conference, these classic women’s maritime pants with nautical stripes turn our ship-shape indigo denim work pants into the perfect first mate. The maritime work pant’s straight leg is designed to be rolled, which means you’ll feel the breeze and keep your cuffs dry while sailing on the boat, or working outdoors on the deck, dock, or shore. We kept these free of rivets, so you won’t scratch the hull. Down below, 11 plentiful pockets are ready to keep tools, a flashlight, and other must-haves on board. Whether you tack starboard, port, or follow your own north star, the Maritime Shop Pant gets you there.

You got 'em dirty, now get 'em clean.

  • Turn inside out.
  • Wash cold.
  • Hang dry. If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.

We get it's tempting to wash those dirty pants in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. The planet will thank you too.

Size down, even if you can't believe what size you're asking for....

I'll say it again: Size down, even if you can't believe the number you're asking for. I am a 8-12 in most pants and a very tight 10/comfortable 12 in maven or whatever the slimmest cut here at dovetail is. I got a size 6... A size 6...in these. Then I was able to not pull them down without undoing fasteners, one of my many pants tests. I'm 5'9.5" 170# pear shape. The pants! They are stretchy and comfortable and well made and my teenager likes them... I wear them casually, haven't put them to any hard work tests.

Love me some stripes

Very comfortable, stylish with stretch and stripes. Nice summer into fall pant. Feels very durable. I only wish the inseam was 28", as I am short, so I do cuff them up. I may get them professionally shortened, or leave as is. I wish I had long legs!

Love the striped shop pants!

These pants are great: fun, funky, and functional! They run large and I had to order a size smaller than in other Dovetail styles. Even sizing down they are still quite roomy and stretchy. The waist is high, but not too high...perfect for a short-waisted gal like me.

Cute and comfortable!

These pants are stylish and functional. Lots of stretch, yet form fitting . I would recommend sizing down at least one size, as they do run large. Super comfortable and move with you.
