A work pant that doesn’t scream “work pant.” That’s what our bike shop owner buddy, Leah, asked for. She’s not the only one who wants a street pant with tons of functionality on the down low. Our striped Shop Pant is like the great-granddaughter of vintage jeans, mashed with slouchy skater style, and tricked out with 11 pockets. We intentionally dropped our signature double-front thigh panels for those who need a maker pant. No rivets, no scratch. Does that make them wimpier? Hell no. We strengthened the fabric with a super strong—and sustainable—fiber. So fix that bike, or cobble that shoe. You look laid back, but you’re hardcore.

Fit Note

We designed the shop pant to be worn relaxed and slouchy. If you prefer a more fitted look, you may need to size down. It comes in 2 lengths, 32” and 30”. For a cool cropped ankle vibe, choose shorter than your typical inseam.

This pant loves your ankles. Designed for rolling the cuff or wearing as is, the Shop Pant looks killer with that slight crop. See FIT NOTE for more on how to choose your inseam length.
We’re psyched to make the Shop Pant with our seriously sustainable friends at Freedom Denim. Made with nifty CiCLO® nylon, these pants are built with strong synthetic fibers, but they break down like natural fibers. So you can get dirty knowing Mother Earth will reclaim your duds when you’re done. For more, see FABRIC.

  • Fabric content: 88% cotton/ 11% CiCLO® nylon/ 1% spandex
  • High stretch
  • Ultra breathable

We’re not smart enough to explain how smart this fabric is. But we’ll try. It has all the breathability of cotton denim, but it’s strengthened by CiCLO® nylon, a manmade fiber that behaves like a natural fiber at the end of its life. Basically, the CiCLO® in your pants lives its life as a synthetic. On its deathbed, this fiber says to itself, “Believe in a green afterlife, and you will go to there.” And so it does. Bonkers! You got 'em dirty, now get 'em clean.

  • Turn inside out.
  • Wash cold.
  • Hang dry. If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.

We get it's tempting to wash those dirty pants in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. The planet will thank you too.

I love these pants

comfortable and great looking !! They run a bit large or as it said in the description, slouchy...Sometimes I like that in pants. May try next size down for a more fitted wear.

So satisfying!

I love these pants. Seriously. Stylish and comfortable.. and button down!

Reading other reviews I had sized down, but I ended up exchanging for another size down. So they do run loose, but 2 sizes down and they're perfect.

I just wish it came in an inseam longer than 32...alas.

Amazing pants

Love these! Love the high rise and all the pockets. I’ll be using these for disc golf and gardening. I usually wear a size 10 in Dovetail but due to the reviews, sized down to an 8 and they fit perfectly!!
