What if your favorite slim-fit jeans also kept you warm? Maven X has gone thermal, and these fleeced jeans are the warm work pants for women. Here’s the thing: women want insulated jeans, but without bulk. Or as we say here at Dovetail, liners are for panties, not pants! How do we retain the flattering fit of our Maven X pant and combat Numb Bum Syndrome? We use an all-in-one hybrid denim, not denim with a fleece lining glued into it. We’ll repeat that, because we know it’s a mindbender. One fabric, two faces. Which means tough denim on the outside, but fleeced and snuggly on the skin. Eat your hartt out, Carhartt. Why is our all-in-one thermal denim such a BFD? Because you can be toasty but move freely in pants that aren’t bulked up. Less is more.

Big high fives to our amazing fabric partner, Repreve®, and their exceptional planet-conscious products. The recycled poly in these products uses 43% fewer fossil fuels than conventional polyester. Each pant saves 8 plastic bottles from landfill.

  • Fabric content: 66% cotton/ 32.5% Repreve® TruTemp365® polyester/ 1.5% spandex

    • You got 'em dirty, now get 'em clean.

    • Turn inside out.
    • Wash cold.
    • Hang dry. If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.

    We get it's tempting to wash those dirty pants in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low.     Winter Winners!

    Great everyday winter pants! I recently bought the Maven X in both gray and blue and would highly recommend. I find them perfect for working outside in daytime winter temps (30s - 50s). The lining also does a great job of insulating against the wind. These pants have a LOT of stretch, I had to size down from my typical Maven X size.

    Finally, warm jeans!

    These maven jeans are marketed as leggings, but really feel like close-fitting jeans with a stretchy waistband. They are made of thermal lined denim and I’m thrilled with how warm my legs are. I’m also thrilled that unlike every single other pair of jeans I own, they don’t cling to my thighs—they actually feel like there’s a little bit of room. When my 28-year-old daughter saw me in them for the first time, she said, “wow, mom, scene .” I didn’t know what that meant, but she told me that they looked very “of the moment. “

    Maven X is a MUST

    TTS, I do not like tight pants. They are perfect for colder temps without overheating, perfect amount of stretch. I have tried flannel lined denim and am always disappointed. These pants are a must if you are an outside girlie, I even horseback ride in them, and then do my town errands. Thanks Dovetail, where have you been all my life (67 y/o).

    Maven X Thermal Denim

    Simply the best! I have these in grey & dark blue. They are stretchy enough to accommodate all kinds of moves & they are roomy enough to allow for wearing a base layer if need be. I have them in both 30” & 32” lengths. They are warm & wind resistant. The best pair of winter pants I own.

    Awesome

    I love these pants. They are comfortable and easy to move in, with well designed pockets. I would happily wear them everyday!

    Sizing: I'm size 2-4 with very muscular calves. Skinny jeans force me up a size sometimes, but these fit great. I got a 4 and I am wearing a base layer underneath while working outside.

    Warmth: I wish this was a medium weight and there was a heavier, warmer version as well. I still needed a base layer to be warm enough.

    My only complaint is the rivets- they go all the way through the fabric and are cold.
