It’s cold. There’s work to be done. Grab the Kent X Chore Coat, button up, and take it on like you always do — but in comfort. Named for the Kent Ranch where our co-founder Sara Kent DeLuca grew up, this coat is inspired by her childhood winters, when a short midnight walk to the barn to check on the lambs felt like a mile. We turned to the women of DX Ranch in North Dakota to give us the inside scoop on how to really stick it to winter with this upgraded chore coat. It’s toasty but never roasty. It’s built for work with a fit that lets you reach, stretch and move. And there are plenty of perfectly-placed pockets to keep tools, odds, ends, and what-have-yous zipped, tucked, and stashed safely away. So get to it. Your chore list just got a whole lot warmer.

That handy 3-snap slit in back lets you adjust the fit to match your activity. Snap it up when you’re standing, unsnap to your liking when you’re seated or want more mobility. Customized comfort!

  • If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.

We get it's tempting to wash that dirty coat in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of it. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. Get this coat!!

I do a lot of outdoor photography/videography for work and this coat is amazing!! It gets cold out during the early mornings and late evenings. I love a lot of pockets for photo/video gear and the fact that I can move in the jacket and stay cozy warm is amazing. I also love love love riding my horse with it in the winter, perfect for it with the split tail back. Dovetail, love you!!

Extraordinary!

Fit is good, I wear medium but I wanted it a bit roomy, large was perfect. The look is phenomenal 😍. The functionality is above any piece of women wear out there! This is a real jacket! Thank you for every second you put into this, and to all your pieces. I have so many of your clothes!

Finally, the perfect jacket!

It's rugged but feminine too. I'm not a girly girl, but if you were going out to eat, you would feel comfortable wearing this coat. The pockets are placed perfectly and is very comfortable. I love the hood too!

Work Coat Of My Dreams

I got the chore coat because I'm a video journalist filming outside. Oftentimes our days are super long and I carry multiple batteries and filters. The flannel keeps me toasty warm in the Northeast while the many pockets hold my batteries. Couldn't be happier! Thanks for making such a stellar coat!

Kent X Chore Coat

It is so warm and soft inside. I love the look and general feel. It does feel a little too tight and my movement is a little restricted when zipped. A little stretch in the fabric would be fabulous.
