You got 'em dirty, now get 'em clean.

  • Turn inside out.
  • Wash cold.
  • Hang dry.
  • If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.

We get it's tempting to wash those dirty pants in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. improved, new, darker “saddle brown”

i returned the Maven “saddle brown” for this Britt pair. The shallow crotch and low rise on Maven just doesn’t work for my hourglass figure… this pair however is PERFECT and this new, darker “saddle brown” fabric is far superior to the old “saddle brown”. Not just in colour, but textile quality.

Feels better, looks better, drapes better…..

These are thick, sturdy workhorse pants.

Love them as much as my hemp Britt X!

And speaking of Britt X: please make a pair out of this dark saddle brown!

new pants

Love the pants, currently wearing a 22 in the old version, new sizing is definity larger. I can make these 22s work with a belt but would order a 20 or maybe even an 18. if you want close fit. I always like my pants on large side so waist band isn't digging in when I'm bent over on hands and knees crawling around on floor. my waist at narrowest part is 30", but I have a very long torso and waist where pants actually sit is 33".

Durable pants

These pants are super comfortable and very protective when walking through briar in the woods. The pants are a little big on me next time I would try a zero. I sized up being concerned that they may shrink by accident at some point in time. However, they are a bit larger than I anticipated. I’m ok with this considering I’m not always comfortable in tight fitting pants when working. I am 4’11 and the 28 in seem fits well with work boots. I’m Petite in size and a bit of pear shaped.

I would keep in mind that because these are heavier canvas pants. They hold up to walking in the woods and keeping your legs from getting cuts and scrapes on them, it is quite hot to wear them in the heat. Like, I’m talking 94 degrees and the feel like temp being 98 degrees with humidity. I would just keep that in mind. They are very good as far as leg protection.

I’ve always worn huskey boys pants in a size 16 for the felid work that I do. I am very excited to have found a brand of pants that fit me and I can feel comfortable and confident working in. I hope my review helps others find the perfect size.
