My new favorite overcoat

This has been my new go-to for colder mornings out in the field. It's a non-bulky layer that provides warmth against cold and wind. I appreciate that it is a bit longer, so provides extra warmth through the hips. It is a simple and flattering design, and the snap buttons down the front are a great touch.

Good

Such a great jacket, I love the fit & it’s so easy to move in it. Also, so appreciate your packaging. It’s difficult to find what I need/ like in stores but I hate all the waste in shipping. Your minimal packaging is great.

The only thing I didn’t like, there’s an odor to the product. It’s the ubiquitous laundry odor. I associate it with some forever chemical because it’s very hard to get rid of. It’s not generally in new clothes so I was a bit surprised smell it on the coat. Numerous washes with Charlie’s soap and it should be gone.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback, we’re really glad to hear you love the fit, ease of movement, and the minimal packaging. Reducing waste, especioally plasticis important to us, so we truly appreciate you noticing.

I also want to directly address the odor concern. We do not use PFAS or any other “forever chemicals,”.

What you’re likely noticing is a residual scent from the fabric’s dye process. This fabric goes through a specific wash and dye bath, which can sometimes leave a temporary odor that dissipates with washing or airing out. Nothing toxic though.
If helpful, a cold wash with baking soda or a cold rinse with white vinegar (rinse cycle only) can remove the odor without affecting dark dyes. Airing the jacket out for a day or two after this can also be very effective.

Go-To Jacket

This is my jacket for everything. I can wear smalls or mediums. The medium is loose, even with a hoodie underneath but I like that. It's long enough to cover the hips so wearing leggings with this is perfect!
