To get ‘em right, we worked closely—for years—with the radass women of DX Ranch, a fourth-generation Oceti Sakowin ranch on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation. Long and lean, this DX bootcut cowgirl jean works as hard on the job site as she does in the saddle. It's also a workhorse, packed with pockets and oh so stretchy. This summer-weight version of our DX Bootcut stays cool in high temps. Moisture wicking. Ultra breathable. And in a blue so good we can only describe it by looking at the summer sky. Ride on.

We're pumped to partner with the good folks of Repreve® on this fabric. Their planet-friendly threads are made from recycled plastic bottles.

  • Fabric weight: 10.5 oz
  • Fabric content: 80% cotton/ 18% REPREVE® recycled polyester/ 2% spandex

You got 'em dirty, now get 'em clean.

  • Turn inside out.
  • Wash cold.
  • Hang dry. If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.

We get it's tempting to wash those dirty pants in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. The planet will thank you too.

Everyday pants

These are the real deal! I have been a professional river guide for 23 years in Grand Canyon. So, the right clothes in most things I do matters. I appreciate a solid work pant that is even fancy enough to wear out for a beer 😉 thanks

Best Jeans Ever!

These jeans are great and I have a story to tell. First day I wore them my husband and I were checking our property. I got caught up in some brush and fell on a jagged oak branch and tore up my leg. The jeans however did not rip. This was good because it saved me from getting debris in a very nasty laceration that required a trip to the ER and 17 stitches. The pants only have a very small puncture in the fabric on the knee. Any other brand of jeans probably would have ripped. I am very pleased. The fabric is soft and stretchy, super comfortable. They look nice too, love all the pockets. I bought another pair right after the incident. Super nice. Highly recommend.

These are great pants. Not only do they fit well but are soft, comfortable and hard working. I recently got caught up in some brush and fell on a jagged limb. While my leg got torn up pretty badly the pants only sustained a small hole. This kept my wound clear of debris and has made the healing process much faster. I’m sure any other pair I own from another brand might have ripped. I’m definitely a fan now. Thanks Dovetail for a great product!

Sexy jeans

These fit great and look great on. They are functional and cute at the same time. I find I have to size down with dovetail pants….I’m usually a size 8-10 but wear a 6-10 in this brand and am 5’5” 132lb.
