Not This One
Firstly, YES Dovetail. Great company, great mission, overall a resounding "yes". This Taskpant on the other hand, a firm "no". Was on the waiting list for my size in the maven slims (I'm 5'-11" with a 35" true inseam, 27" waist) so ordered a Taskpant in the meantime to hold me over. 2/34 arrived with a 32-1/2" inseam which after one wash and dry shrank to a light 32". Due to the flare at the bottom of the leg, this looks fairly ridiculous on me. Also, after wearing these pants to work (millshop) for about a week, noticed that elastic-buckling look around crotch, side pockets, and belt line that you get from cheaper stretch jeans when the elastic wears out. Feels unprofessional to walk in looking saggy and high-water flare. Very disappointed in this Taskpant, although couldn't be more pleased with the MavenSlims I eventually received. (haven't worn these to work yet though, so fingers crossed) For sure should have waited. Regardless, thank you Dovetail for existing and doing a WAY better job in general than almost every other company I've encountered. Keep it up <3
P.S. To clarify my number ratings: these pants were both too short and too wide for me, although because they were advertised as a relaxed fit, that aspect isn't a problem. True to description there, but way off in promised length, so rated them "too small" for my individual case.
On functionality: love the pocket layout/ design even if fabric is too weak to put things like screws in them (tried this first day…
