The higher waist, all the pockets, the gusset crotch, and the fact that it comes in black?! Absolutely in loveeeeeeeee. The pockets' velcro is definitely tough so it might get annoying if you need to take tools/your phone out a lot BUT if you just tuck the flap inside the pocket then you can still utilize them but they don't velcro closed. I rarely have to do that though since I do commercial carpentry and there's always some kind of dust floating around and having my pockets closed means my phone and wallet don't need cleaning every day. ANYWAY, pocket discourse aside, i love the fit sooooooo much. I'm surprised by how much room there was for my hips/thighs, because even though they do fill out the fabric fully I can still squat and move around easily and even use my back pockets. I think I've gotten to utilize every little part of these pants. The clip slots for both pockets are always handy when I need to put down my drill for a second and the little loop add-ons for the belt loop is awesome when you have your keys on a carabiner. I need all pants to be built like this actually and I'm not joking.

I’ve had trouble finding high waisted women’s works pants in the past, so I am thrilled to have found these. I’ve been alternating between two pairs for about a month, and they’ve held up very well in the field! Plenty of roomy and sturdy pockets (including a small pocket on the front thigh that is the perfect size for snips and pliers!). The velcro on the back and side pockets holds everything in place very well.

Now, to talk about the fit: I have a smaller waist and larger thighs, and these fit absolutely perfectly. I wear them with a Dovetail belt and they stay up all day while I’m kneeling, bending, reaching above my head, and climbing ladders. I’ve had no issues with gapping in the waist or excessive tightness in the thighs, which I often run into with other high waisted pants. These honestly feel like they were tailored to me. I work in wildlife rescue, and I own several pairs of cargo pants. I just received a pair of navy Ready Set Cargos, size 4 x 30, and they fit like a dream. Love the higher rise, comfortable (stretchy) waist band, big cargo pockets, lots of beautiful detailing -the stitching is impeccable., etc. They are really well-designed, flattering and COMFORTABLE ! They run true to size with a relaxed fit which allows for movement. I just tracked down a pair in khaki green on the Backcountry site. Please continue making these. I want a pair in black. Love my dovetail pants! Fit amazing and has pockets for days. I repair appliances and tv's so they can get dirty and are real easy to clean off. Only issue ive had with them is i wish they didnt get a huge bleach stain from one of my clients at work. Now i gotta buy another, but thats not the fault of Dovetail. Please use appropriate cleaners when cleaning appliances, ie not bleach, im not made of money and cant afford another but do need them. Again not Dovetails problem just venting!

I clean professionally and I was getting tired of having no ability to store things in my jeans pockets. I ordered my first pair of these in navy, and fell in love. They're super comfortable, relaxed but not too baggy, and the pockets are very generous. That's why I ordered this second pair in black.
