The coveralls to end 'em all.

When mechanic Faye Hadley of All Girls Garage + Moto Mythbusters asked about coveralls, we dropped it all, and listened to what she needed in her do-it-all workshop wear. The only coveralls that worked for Faye came from the boy’s section of Target. They had 1 measly pocket, and she had to get them tailored to fit, but what else could she do? Traditional coveralls were too baggy – their wide legs dragged oil and dust into the rare cars she worked so hard to restore. Some had rivets and exposed zippers that could scratch her handiwork… And any coveralls designed ‘for women’ came in cheap, brightly-colored fabrics that brought the wrong kind of attention.

Dovetail to the rescue! We focused on fit, adding an inner drawcord, belt loops and snaps to keep ‘em up with a tool belt or when it gets too hot in Faye’s West Texas garage to wear the top. Deep chest pockets hold screwdrivers, wrenches, her notebook, and pens.

These coveralls also have all our Dovetail Workwear fan-faves: crotch gusset for ultimate mobility, reinforced knees with a slot for pads, and nested pockets that prioritize storage on the right thigh – Faye can fit a large flashlight in hers for looks under the hood.

Also Available In Short Sleeve!

Women need choices: want to wear your coveralls over other clothes or if you are finding you’re in-between sizes? Size up. If nothing comes between you and your coveralls, stay with your regular size – then check out the care instructions below to keep ’em clean and in tip-top shape.

  • 57% cotton, 26% polyester, 14% modal, 2% rayon, 1% spandex
  • Midweight, 10 oz, high stretch

This neutral, midweight, navy twill has stretch and heft.

You got 'em dirty, now get 'em clean.

  • Turn inside out.
  • Wash cold.
  • Hang dry. If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.

We get it's tempting to wash those dirty pants in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. The planet will thank you too.

Best jumpsuit ever

I just received and tried on this jumpsuit and it is AWESOME!!

It's such a dark navy that it kind of looks like a deep charcoal or almost black; it’s an excellent neutral. I’m 5’5”, 170lb, usually a size 10 (curvy) or 12 (regular). I got a medium with 31" inseam (I wanted it to be fitted), and I could just fit it over my skinny jeans and Numi undershirt. The pants are a bit long for me (I usually get a 30” inseam in straight leg/bootcut pants so the cuffs sit an inch or so off the ground with boots on). But I was able to get the extra length cinched down by the ankle and they looked good that way, especially with my Xena Spice boots. The cotton drawstring let me cinch the waist a bit for a closer fit. And the front pockets are so low and deep, my arms are practically straight reaching to the bottom of them! 🤩

Dovetail has such awesome, flattering, functional workwear and I think they’ve outdone themselves with these coveralls. I’ll definitely look to get the short sleeve version, too (I’m hoping these work as well for everyone as they do for me, and that Dovetail will release them in another color/material, and that I can wait until then!).

I can’t recommend these highly enough!!

Beat women’s work coveralls

I’m not going to lie, I haven’t hardly taken these coveralls off since I got them last week. It’s winter and they are so warm and versatile. I’ve been layering up and doing some work in them. They’re very durable, comfortable, look great, feel great, and I’ve already been scheming on getting another pair, maybe a short sleeve pair for summer work. Definitely recommend these! The extra pockets, tool loop, reinforced knees and elbows, elastic waist and ankles, and durable zipper and snapping wrists are all excellent features.

Love them

Super soft and comfortable and well built! Love them. I'm tall 5’10 and got the shortest inseam by accident and they are still long enough!
