We’ve gone all out. Built for the EMTs, messengers, outdoor school teachers, and the rest of us wannabes, the Ready Set Cargo pant is a walking storage unit. But it still looks sharp. Because we Dovetailed it. Yes, we’ve made you an elastic waist cargo pant with big-ass pockets. No, you won’t lose your self respect when you wear it. Deep design tweaks (peep those slash-angled pockets!) bring full-on function and Sarah Connor in Terminator vibes. You can have it all. And carry it too.

We are so lucky to work with Sapphire Finishing Mills in Pakistan who both made this fabric and sewed the products for us. Responsible manufacturing doesn’t get better than SFM. They hold the rigorous GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certification, among many others, and their women’s empowerment program is truly being the change we want to see in the garment world.

  • Stain-resistant. Get dirty, wash clean.
  • Water-resistant. Shake it off.

Inspired by the EMTs and first responders, we mixed up a special fabric that’s almost as heroic as they are. This CORDURA™ micro-ripstop is as hardcore as it gets. Tough as hell, it will not let you down.

You got 'em dirty, now get 'em clean.

  • Turn inside out.
  • Wash cold.
  • Hang dry. If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.

We get it's tempting to wash those dirty pants in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. The planet will thank you too.

Love!

My husband lives in cargo pants and I figured if I can't beat him I might as well join him. Already thinking about another pair! Great pants and are so comfortable. I am 31-33" waist depending on the day and 40" hip and the 12 is very comfy. I am 5'-5" and opted for the 28" length which hits right at my ankle.

Nice! Good Fit and Stylish

True to size. Nice construction.

I wear a 14/28. These are perfect. A little snug in the upper thighs because of the pockets, but comfortable. Flattering. Size wasn’t confusing with these. Excellent in the waist.

Great fit and features

Comfy tacticool pants

I’ve worn these 2-3 times per week for the past four months, for technical rescue, woodworking, and bouldering. They’re holding up great, with just some fading of the pretty olive color. No snags, tears or loose threads. Reinforced in all the right places and the fabric is stretchy but feels “appropriate” when wearing a harness in a professional setting. The butt does stretch out after a day of wear but gets its shape back in the wash. I’m an XS/2 in Athleta and most outdoor brands, 5’7” tall. I got a 2 regular and they fit perfectly, with a comfy mid/high rise. I do wish the bottom cuff didn’t have elastic… I ordered a pair in navy for ambulance EMT work and knew my captain would see the contrast stitching and fashionable jogger style (not that they’ve ever heard the term “jogger” in reference to pants) and tell me to change into my sad old 5.11s. Please consider making these with a more uniform-standard leg opening, with fabric-matched stitching! And then make a version in Nomex, for wildland fire work :)
