The AJ Performance Work Shirt is hardcore, like its namesake, our pal Amy James—tradeswoman, advocate, cyclist. When every day is a wild ride, your shirt must go the distance. Hot, sweaty days call for an ultra-lightweight, quick-dry UPF work shirt. But we pulled extra moves so you can. Armpit gussets. Perfectly placed pleat between the shoulders. Reinforced elbows. Military grade no-scratch snaps. Go harder, stay cool.

This shirt has a looser, more unisex fit than our Givens Work Shirt.

Work easy in poly/cotton.

Take a delicious poly/cotton. Add a dash of Dovetail's secret stretch sauce. Baste with quick-dry witchcraft. Flex your moves in comfort.

  • Fabric content: 85% cotton/ 13% polyester/ 2% spandex
  • Light stretch

You got it dirty, now get it clean.

We get it's tempting to wash that dirty shirt in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of it. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. The planet will thank you too.

AJ Performance Work Shirt

I am super pleased with my AJ Performance Work Shirt. The fabric and details are remarkable. When I garden in 80-degree temps, this shirt never clings to me while I sweat. It actually keeps me cool (and looking cool!). Among other things, I love not having to mess with buttons instead of the quick and sturdy snaps. Thank you, Dovetail!

Buttons over my boobs and moves with me!

Finding button-down shirts that work for a petite build/narrow shoulders and a reasonably large bust rarely works out. This shirt closes at my bust, lets me lift my arms, and doesn't hang down to my knees. A+
