High and mighty. If you’ve been on the prowl for a high-waisted work pant, Old School High Rise Pant is the one for you. It’s built with the same fit and straight leg as our much-loved Britt Utility Pant, with a generous 11” rise* for those who like a bit more coverage. That's as legit as you get when it comes to women’s workwear; packed with pockets and built to keep up with whatever you throw down. Midweight stretch denim with vintage yarn character and tonal high/lows makes this a true 4-season work pant – tough and breathable. So take the high road. Hit the high notes. It’s high time. Dovetail Workwear’s ReTooled Fit Project is taking new measures. Thanks to customer feedback, we are fine-tuning our fit for sizes 16 and above. After meticulous reframing and wear testing, we're excited to launch this innovative fit in our new Old School High Rise pants. Loyal customers size 16 and above may now need a smaller size.
Milled by our fav OG fabric supplier, Cone Denim, this fabric was dyed using Cone’s patented G2 Flash Finish which results in 72% water savings over traditional overdye methods. Cotton fibers have been verified by Oritain, ensuring all materials are ethically sourced.

You got 'em dirty, now get 'em clean.

  • Turn inside out.
  • Wash cold.
  • Hang dry.
  • If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.

We get it's tempting to wash those dirty pants in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. The planet will thank you too.

ol’ faithful

this is my second pair of dovetail pants after nearly wearing out the first pair. literally the only brand that sells my size (waist size 23) and they’re terrific quality.

I'm in love, PLEASE make this style in other colors and fabrics! I will buy them!

I absolutely love these. I have been in a constant battle with work pants for years now, I never imagined I'd find pants that fit me this well. I've always had issues with pants needing to be hiked up pretty frequently, that is not the case with these because they actually hit ABOVE the widest part of my body. I couldn't find my belt one day recently and I was shocked to find that it wasn't really an issue! Please make these in stretch canvas and rip stop, I will buy them immediately.

I need more of these!

I have tried several of the Dovetail styles and THIS is the one I've been waiting for. The high rise is such a relief from constantly having to pull up on sagging britches. I am tall so have been limited in the styles that have been available with longer inseams. The 34" inseam on these is perfect. All the same details as in the original Britt just make these perfect! Please: more colors!!
