Perfect fit after shrinking a little in the wash

The stretchy factor is amazing on these. I have endometriosis which means I have scar tissue build up in my lower abdomen. The stiffness of a traditional jean waistband would create pressure on my abdomen that became intolerable due to my health issues. These stretchy canvas pants are the BEST work pants and only ones that work for my situation while still being durable enough to hold up to hard physical work with reinforced knees, etc. This is what brought me to Dovetail in the first place! All other stretchy jeans out there are under-designed and not durable at all. Dovetail's are literally what I have been dreaming of, yay! And the hammer loop is a huge plus, and the side leg pocket for a phone!

I have an average-fit body type, 5'3" and ordered the size 6 with a 30 inseam. Before washing they would slide down gradually and the waistband would end up sitting on my hip bones and I wasn't so sure about them (I don't like wearing belts). Then I washed and dried them (cold water and low heat) and they seemed to have shrunk a bit? Which was a good thing, because now they fit properly! A little tight for my liking around the knees but all good. The leg length works great with large steel toe boots, otherwise they would be a bit long but given I'm on the shorter side that makes sense. I ordered 4 more pairs!
