How to Replace A Button 

Tools Needed:

• Fabric marker or pen
• Scissors
• Hammer
• Hard, flat surface

1. Turn the item inside out and mark the button placement with a fabric marker. Double-check, as the button is permanent once riveted.
2. Push the prong of the back piece through the marked spot from inside to outside. For thick workwear fabric, use scissors to create a small hole.
3. Turn the item right side out, keeping track of the prong’s location.
4. Align the front button piece over the prong so it passes through the center hole.
5. Place the setup on a hard, flat surface with the button facing up.
6. Position the setting tool in the button’s top indentation.Strike 2–3 times with a hammer to secure.
7. Remove the tool and gently tug the button to ensure it's firmly attached.

How to Replace Freshley Overalls Clasp and Slide

Tools Needed:

• Seam ripper
• Needle & thread

1. Use a seam ripper to remove the single stitch securing the clasp. Work carefully to avoid fabric damage. Remove loose threads.
2. Slide off the old hardware. For the slide, pull it off the strap’s end. For the clasp, unfold the strap from the hardware.
3. Thread the strap end through the back of the new slide, ensuring the flat side faces outward.
4. Thread the strap through the new clasp.
   1. Insert from behind the center bar
   2. Pull over the top bar
   3. Pass back under the center bar (the clasp's teeth should face downward)
5. Thread the strap end back through the slide from bottom to top. Adjust for desired loop length.
6. The strap will function without stitching, but sewing prevents slipping. Fold the end under ½ inch, sew a straight line over the original stitch, and backstitch both ends to secure.
