New favorite workpants

I just got my new pair of old school high-rise work pants in Beachwood. I got a size 12, 34" inseam. I'm 5'9", 175 pounds, bwh 39"×33"×43" with a 32.5" inseam to my ankle. I went off of the size chart as I fit within the size 12 dimensions with a little room to spare. The pants fit well, not too tight in the butt and there's a little too much room in the waist but only about a half inch (this corresponds with the size chart which goes up to 33 and 1/2 in at the waist). There is a small gap at the top of the waist in back, but it's very slight. I would be happy with an even higher rise, say to 12" in rather than 11". As it is though I think it's fine and so far I haven't needed to pull them up. We'll see how they are after wearing and if they stretch out in which case I might take the option to wash and dry them. I love the length; it's a little longer than I need but I like having my ankles covered when I bend my legs. The color is pretty, it's a khaki color to me. More of a cool tone than the reddish tone you see in the photo with my legs bent. The material is thick but no thicker than my j crew painter's jeans which are 100% cotton and rigid denim (I wear a size 29 in j crew jeans which are definitely vanity sizing). I'll wear these pants as a biomonitor on construction and restoration sites, in the garden and doing restoration, and volunteering at a native plant nursery. I recommend these pants and if you go off the size chart the fit should be good.

Great pants.

Very comfortable. Much better washed as they softened considerably. I actually could have gotten one size smaller due to them softening up so much. Pockets are great for gardening, trimming, weeding and kneeling.
