I was literally shearing sheep at nine months pregnant in these. I bought two pairs and rotated them - they’re all I want to work in.

I owned dovetails before getting pregnant, and while they look good, I never loved them for shearing. I had the Maven and Anna pants and when you’re bending a ton, the waistband of both get really annoying.

The Maven Maternity is PERFECT, both for actually being pregnant and for doing work. When you shear sheep you need fabric that will protect you from hooves, horns and sharp tools, but also enough stretch to support essentially doing acro-yoga with large animals for hours. These are THE ONES for that activity.

My pairs are both nearly unwearable after a year plus of constant use, and I’m really sad that I can’t currently replace them.

I’m postpartum now, but would still exclusively shear in these!

I bought these on a whim. I’m not pregnant, but these appeared to be a lower rise version of the maven. I’ve found the regular pants are too high rise for me and hurt my waist when I bend, squat, etc. These are PERFECT. Wish you made this waist/rise in your other pants!

I bought these in an 8 and usually wear a 10-12 in Dovetail Mavens but an 8 everywhere else. I love the fit of them so much that I’ve been looking on Mercari for all the used pairs I can find. They are stretchier than my other Mavens and the length once they shrink a bit is perfect for me at 5’4”. I even bike in these and they are perfect for that.

Finally a maternity pant for working women. I am a farmer and getting tired of wearing through other maternity jeans and not having functional pockets. These are functional, flattering, and sturdy.

Y’all, I love my freshly overalls so much that I’m Poshmark-ing all of my other brands! That said, I really struggled finding the same love in dovetail pants. I am a 2 or 4 /28 in the freshly’s so for an experiment I bought these in 0 and they work perfect! I am very slim but I have a beer gut so the waist was always too tight in the pants. These in a zero with a belt work perfect. Because of the elastic you do loose some pocket action but you simply can’t find a Jean this cool and functional anywhere!
