Weather protection in the palm of your hand

The 3-season Pac Jac wards off morning wind and rain. When the sun comes out, Pac this Jac into its own chest pocket. Toss it in your toolbox, backpack, front pocket of your Freshley overalls, or hang off your carabiner. In addition to packable magic, a potion of PFAS-free, plant-based repellency makes the Pac Jac water and stain resistant. Ultralight ripstop is breathable, and UPF 50+.

This lightweight toughie can take any blows you throw at her: super-strong Cordura® fibers fortify the fabric, so you won’t snag on thorny plants, nails or other prickly situations. We chose Kelp Green and Jasper Orange to complement the other styles in our Springtime stash. Mix and match, or for a full ultralight weather-proof ‘fit, pair the Kelp Pac Jac with our new Anna Trail Pant in Kelp.

I’m really pleased with this jacket. It is as advertised! It repels rain, blocks the wind and is warmer than expected. It layers nicely both over and under other items and packs up small when not needed. Well done Dovetail!

Looks great, functions even better

Perfect jacket for outdoor work or play in wet weather. Great for travel abroad, packs down to fit in a pocket.

I'll be back for more!

I did a recent google search for a lightweight jacket for my gardening business but mainly for a trip to South Africa and…. Dovetail popped up.

This jacket fits well and feels good. I sized up for layering, just in case.

In the meantime, I've been breaking it in at work in the garden.

I'm soooooo, happy I clicked on the link.

Looking forward to getting other items.

    Our current ETA for shipment is 6/25/25. There is the possibility this date may change. If it changes by more than 3 days, we will email you.
  • Can I order the pre-order item and something else that’s already in stock?
    Yes, you can! We’ll ship the in-stock item first, and when the pre-order item is available, we’ll ship that to you separately.
