MavenX in size 12 moss canvas -- great higher and slightly tighter waist than most workpants I've tried, I'm long-waisted/round-arsed and it's hard to find a pant that fits elsewhere but doesn't pull down in the back without having to getting a size larger and belting it all in. I've accepted belts as a necessity but really dislike them -- I think the MavenX is going to free me!
For anyone needing to compare the styles in terms of crack coverage, my results: MavenX and the ReadySetCargo were the longest-waisted. The Cargo if anything were a touch too long and gave me that horizontal crotch fold effect. Am trying in a diff size. BrittX and Anna Task too short in the seat rise. Day Construct has good seat rise, but almost bell-bottomed in styling. Shop Pant currently sold out but want to try that next.
Love the moss canvas fabric, it's a midweight cotton duck that washes well. Some shrinkage after washing in warm, mostly in the warp (length), so order a bit longer than required. Also, for me this fabric does stretch out again with an hour's wear after the initial washer shrinkage.
The kneepad slots and pockets are a godsend, I'm a historical restorationist specializing in old mortise lock repair, and spend half my day kneeling at folks' doors fiddling with tiny screws and tools. And I can't believe I'm saying this but this is the first time I've ever had pants with a cell phone pocket and I'm never ever looking back.
