Dovetail Workwear has pioneered maternity workwear with the 2020 birth of the Maven Maternity Work Pant.Since its debut, we have worked on additional designs with global feedback from expecting mothers who wear-tested our prototypes. Their valuable insights on how the apparel adapted to pregnancy contributed to the development of two robust, flexible styles that offer excellent fit and function throughout the nine months and beyond. These pants can be worn as your family grows and later handed down to a friend who's expecting. Additionally, we offer other styles that are suitable for new parents. Because of the front panel construction, there is no drop seat in these overalls– but they are in our Freshley Drop Seat Overalls! If you choose to go that route, we recommend sizing up.
We're stoked to be able to source our cotton for this product from the Better Cotton Initiative. BCI Cotton strives to be not only better for the environment, but also for the farmers and communities who supply it.

You got 'em dirty, now get 'em clean.

  • Fasten all hardware.
  • Turn inside out.
  • Wash cold.
  • Hang dry. If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.

We get it's tempting to wash those dirty overalls in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. The planet will thank you too.

These are awesome

These are really great overalls. They are both cute and highly functional. They are snug but don't feel too restricting. I imagine continuing to wear them will help them feel a little more flexible. I absolutely love not having to sacrifice comfort, durability, and POCKETS during pregnancy with these. Thanks, Dovetail, for finally filling a need in women's clothing. Mamas work hard too!

So great that I plan on wearing these after the baby!

I was given these to try out after I complained to my boss that I wasn’t going to be able to find anything to wear out in the field while pregnant. I’m a surveyor, so I work outside in all types settings. From boundary work to construction staking, these work clothes worked perfectly for every job. Very comfortable, lots of pockets, and stretchy! They worked for all types of weather, and in Texas that is different every day. Often I have to hop over barb wire fences and walk through briars, and my clothes never ripped. Pre pregnancy I was a size 4, my measurements were 5’3” 34D-28-38 and 135 pounds. I wore these in a size 6, and they fit me up to 180 pounds at the end of my pregnancy. Such a versatile pair of work pants!
