I’ve been wearing the Carhartt utility leggings for years now. They were great in the beginning but noticed the last time I purchased a pair their material quality went down. I decided to try Dovetail after a year going back and forth yes I want no I don’t. I pulled the trigger on this pair, the maven X. I wasn’t sure how to size myself, got a size that doesn’t fit. They were great with getting my return taken care of. I ended up going two sizes up. Will try the middle size on my next pair. With the current size 4 inseam 30, I can’t fully fill out the bottoms, I lack the booty unfortunately, so that’s the only part that doesn’t fit too well.

The most game changer part was the pockets! The right thigh one that fits a phone perfectly, I squat down and my phone disappears!! On the carhartt leggings it was a pain to squat down with a phone in your pocket. It would press up hard against your thigh. But again those are utility LEGGINGS.

As for the price, they’re spendy. Well worth it as far as I can tell. I’m saving up my woodworking money to try a few more styles. Goal is to try their overalls!

I am 6' tall and 165 lbs - tall and slender with hips and a healthy bum - it's hard to find a pant in either gender that works for my body. The Maven X is absolute perfection in all ways - the hips fit, the slim-ness is perfect, the length is great - all-around my new favorite pants by far. I love how the pockets are real pockets, not like typical women's pants. The look is androgynous which I appreciate - it means they're designed to be functional and fit well regardless of gender. Bravo, you made the perfect pants! I'm telling everyone about these!

Was great color, as seen on advertisement. However, i did not anticipate it being as snug around the tooshie. I suggest ordering one size up if you are wider in hip and thigh area.
