It had a busted zipper. It was full of holes. But she couldn’t bear to throw it out. That’s when our buddy Emily brought her vintage work vest to us and asked for the same thing, but Dovetailed. Done! This is the ultimate women’s vintage work vest. Old school workwear vibes but a longer, leaner line (bye, short ‘n boxy!). Comfy to the core. Sustainably made. Plus a zipper that won’t quit. Love it, layer it, never loan it.

We are super stoked to work with our friends at Tuk Tuk in India, who made this BCI cotton fabric for our Old School Work Vest. A WRAP Platinum facility, Tuk Tuk is a sustainability star, milling the finest eco-friendly fabrics while creating an excellent work environment for its workers.
Super tough, super warm, super green.

  • Heavy-duty stretch canvas
  • Fabric weight: 12 oz
  • Fabric contents:
    • Shell: 98% BCI cotton/ 2% spandex
    • Lining: 100% polyester

Durable AF. And as warm as that first cup of coffee from your Thermos. Made from cotton sourced from the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), the canvas shell on this baby is as tough as it is kind to the planet. A faux shearling lining keeps you snuggled in.

You got it dirty, now get it clean.

  • Turn inside out.
  • Wash cold, gentle cycle.
  • Dry low with dryer balls for 15 minutes (to fluff up that shearling), then air dry.

Work Vest of my dreams

Love the cut of the vest and the durable material. Thanks for the

useful chest pockets, with a pencil holder! (as a Lefty, I would place the pencil holder on the other side, but I get that we are the minority).

In love with my work vest

This is SO cozy and exactly what I expected. I can't wait to wear it in the fields when Fall hits. The Small size is very generous, which will be great for wearing a sweatshirt or light jacked underneath.

Amazing vest

This vest is perfect. I thought I would need a large but the medium fits just right. Some folks talk about the length; personally I think that’s a huge bonus it just feels like a natural length to put my hands in the pockets. The collar is malleable which is also a plus. Soft on the inside, strong but supple workwear on the outside.

Wind Proof for real! Great pockets

The first day I wore this was a miserable, blustery day. I was very pleased with my vest and its ability to keep my core warm! I especially like the length- I am 5'4'' and this vest covers down to my back pants pockets. The height of the collar is also excellent, and my neck stayed toasty. Other perk- my handsaw and cellphone stayed tucked into my breast pockets even when I was moving around in the garden. Impressive!

Note- I wear my vest over several layers and find it very comfortable.
