Tough as a saddle but just as easy to sit in. Yep, this bootcut pant kicks serious ass. To get it right, we worked closely—for years—with the radass women of DX Ranch, a fourth-generation Oceti Sakowin ranch on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation. Long and lean, the DX jean looks like a tall drink of water. It's also a workhorse. This pant also ranges beyond the ranch, with a double "shot pocket" that fits essential vet med tools, as well as folding knives and anything else that needs to sit snug ’n shallow. So doctor that cow. (Or detail that car.) Throw a loop. (Or a pot...or a party). Wherever you roam, this bootcut beauty is ready to receive your booty.

This is one of our only pants without thigh reinforcements, so it's optimal for horseback work. But fear no fabric fail: these bad britches are reinforced with CORDURA® threads, baby!

We roped in our good friends at Artistic Milliners in Pakistan, to make this CORDURA® denim. Recipient of the UN’s highest award for sustainability, Artistic Milliners wins the enviro responsibility rodeo—and makes beautiful fabrics too.

You got 'em dirty, now get 'em clean.

  • Turn inside out.
  • Wash cold.
  • Hang dry.
  • If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.
  • Color may transfer.
  • Wash separately.

We get it's tempting to wash those dirty pants in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. The planet will thank you too.

They are great work pants and they come up high enoug

One little complaint is every pair is not the same

This is my 3rd season with them and 4 th pair

Every pair is same exact size but all of them do not fit exactly the same, one pair little tighter around waist and next pair little looser in thy and just little stuff like your quality control needs to be a little tighter

But they are the best fitting and longest wearing work jeans

I have had , maybe if these were made in America we could make the USA great again!!!

Because you have a good fitting pant

Would be nice if you made just one pair of boot cut without the hammer loop so they look a little bit dressier to wear as dress pants cause they fit so good

Just cause they feel so good on, I have not put my wrangler

Jeans on since started wearing these except for a dressy ocation but they are not as comfortable

So a pair to wear to church and meetings with dress shoes or dress boots would be nice

Great ranch jeans

I have these in my usual size and now a size smaller with extra length for my boots. These are high stretch and if you like a more fitted feel I recommend sizing down. I can actually still fit a legging, for winter weather, under the size down jeans because theyre so stretchy. I’m thrilled that Dovetail recognizes there are small petite waists. There are very few brands that have waist size below 25 or 26 inches.

The only thing I’d love to see different is a dark thread that matches!

Love the Fit!

The best fit for me has been the Maven Slim. I was hoping that you would get the Maven Slim in denim back in stock, but then I learned that they were discontinued. I tried another design-found out I can't wear anything with the crotch gusset-just too much fabric bunching up. I thought I'd try the DX Bootcut. I couldn't be happier. I'm not a slim girl, I just don't have much hip/butt. These pants feel great. I'd like to see more options in a "slim" fit.

Retooled to rule

The fit is amazing and so many pockets. The retooling is amazing and the stretchy waistband is great to keep there from being a gap.
