Since the start of Dovetail, we’ve collected dirty socks from our wear testing women and noted their needs – then we ding-dong-dang Dovetail’ed it. Comfort comes from a seamless toe, breathable mesh ventilation, arch support, and zoned cushioning. Deep heel and toe pockets offer an enhanced fit. Durable nylon plaiting keeps fray at bay in high-wear areas like the heel and toes.

We found our sole sisters in the Crescent Sock Company, a fourth-generation Tennessee mill run by three sisters as committed to knitting beautiful functional socks as we are in making great workwear. Founded in 1902 by the Burn family, it remains the oldest continually operating sock mill in the US. Known for their exceptional products and community ethos, the Burn sisters continue to sock it to the giants of corporate knitting.

Surprise, fits pefectly!

Confession: I have fat feet and heavy legs and it's REALLY had to find socks that fit heel to toe, are wide enough to put on comfortably, and the tops don't start rolling down to my ankles by the end of the day. So I tried these socks without much confidence, given my track record, but found they pass on all counts. Easy to put on, comfortable to wear, sock toes don't work their way off my toes, sock tops don't roll down my leg. Dovetail comes through again! Have already purchased a second pair.

Comfy and no itch

Very comfortable, good thickness that fits in shoes but pads and supports the feet, not too tight at ankle and lower shin, love the color—need more colors!

We’ll ship the in-stock item first, and when the pre-order item is available, we’ll ship that to you separately.

What is the shipping cost for pre-orders?

If you’re only ordering the pre-ordered item, shipping is the same as our regular shipping costs.

If you’re ordering the pre-ordered item AND an in-stock item, there is a $18.00 flat fee.
