Let me start by saying how extremely long and stressful the journey to find new work pants has been since Dickies discontinued WOMENS painter whites. I am NOT wearing the gigantic ballon thigh, absolutely ridiculous men’s pants they sell. After a year of continuous efforts writing to and begging them to bring the women’s pants back to no avail I had no other option but to find a new brand. Being a very petite woman in construction comes with its challenges. One of landscapers at my place of employment showed me these pants from Dovetail so I decided to order a pair and give them a shot. I am 5’2” and I ordered a 32” inseam. When I tried them on with only socks I was so disappointed. They fit in the waist, hips, and thighs impeccably but I thought they were too long. I kept them in the bag with the tags on my counter and set up a return. Planning to return them today and feeling totally defeated I decided to try them on one last time with my work boots and what do you know? They are perfect! Lesson learned. Dovetail, please don’t ever discontinue these pants. You have a customer for the next 25 years until I retire 🙌

Dovetails fit my shape well (a relatively straight torso, i.e., small difference between my waist and hips), the cotton fabric (with just a bit of stretch) feels terrific, and they're cut and sewn together beautifully.

These are the perfect painter pants for women. Thank you for including all sizes, I have two women in my team that are both petite and plus, and these pants are perfect and a great fit for both of them. We appreciate this company, after searching for some time to find the right fit. They’ve made some really quality painter pants for women with plenty of pockets, reinforced knees, with a thick yet comfortable working fabric. Happy painting!
