You may be tempted to call these shortalls "cute." We are too. But in a low whisper, so they don't hear us. Because they're serious. Swiss Army Knife serious. Compact, but packed with function. Based on their big sis, the Freshley Overalls, these ultra-lightweight hemp denim shortalls have a million nested pockets (including our famous Twine Hole™), plus a hammer loop. All tucked into a streamlined, shorty-pants silhouette. Yep, it's a lot in a little – but just right.

Lovers of lightweight denim, we made these for you. If you have our other shortalls, these feel a little softer, but still have hemp for strength and good vibes.

This fabric has been blessed by the power of hemp. Tough by nature, hemp is a radically strong yet biodegradable fiber with so many natural talents: it's super breathable, wicks away sweat, repels stinkiness, and just feels so damn good on the skin.

You got 'em dirty, now get 'em clean.

  • Fasten all hardware.
  • Turn inside out.
  • Wash cold.
  • Hang dry. If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.

We get it's tempting to wash those dirty shortalls in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. Great lightweight overall shorts!

I have several pairs of these and love them. Super lightweight which is great for hot weather though a part of me wishes the material was a little heavier for more durability.
