Shorts can be serious. Especially when they’re built off our tricked-out Day Construct pant. We gave this beloved style a summer cut, but kept all the pockets. Packed with purpose, these beauties are the ultimate in women’s ultra light ripstop shorts. Super tough. Quick-drying. Ultra lightweight. Mid-rise front waist, but full booty protection with a higher back rise…because the only crack we like to see is dawn’s!

So light, so strong. Ripstop for the win.

  • Ultra lightweight ripstop cotton
  • Fabric weight: 7 oz
  • Fabric content: 90% cotton/ 8% nylon/ 2% spandex
  • Light stretch
  • Stain-resistant. Get dirty, wash clean.
  • Water-resistant. Shake it off.
  • Quick-dry. No sweat.
  • UPF 50. Throw shade.

These shorts are ultra lightweight, so you can work in the heat and keep your cool. Does lightweight mean wimpy? Hell no. This is Dovetail, people. Ripstop shuts out the sharp shit. A touch of stretch means you can bust your moves in comfort.

You got 'em dirty, now get 'em clean.

  • Turn inside out.
  • Wash cold.
  • Hang dry. If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.

We get it's tempting to wash those dirty shorts in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low.
