PORTLAND-BASED STARTUP LAUNCHES FEMALE-FOCUSED WORKWEAR LINE FEATURING

FIT AND FUNCTION FOR WOMEN

Portland, OR (10.1.17) – Moxie & Moss Workwear today announced the launch of a new female-focused denim work pant for women in skilled trades, sciences, and arts according to Moxie & Moss co-founder Kate Day.

Called the Maven, Moxie & Moss designers developed its flagship pant using more than 100 women field testers from a multitude of labor, science, and maker communities across the country. The Maven pant performs in the toughest of environments, yet translates throughout every part of a woman’s day due to its refined fit, functionality, and durability.

“Until now, functional, durable workwear has been designed and developed with men in mind,” Day said. “The fact is, more women are now joining non-traditional occupations than ever before, and they require apparel that delivers fit and comfort along with performance.”

Made from premium stretch denim sourced from Cone Mills in North Carolina, three versions of the Maven are currently available, with sizes from 00-18 and multiple inseams.

Moxie & Moss Workwear originated when two landscapers, frustrated with the lack of viable options in the women’s workwear space, teamed up with one of their clients—an apparel industry veteran—to create a line of clothing specifically tailored for women, with the same quality and performance characteristics as traditionally male-dominant workwear apparel.

The company recently completed a successful direct to consumer pre-sale of the Maven and officially launched an online store in September 2017. Moxie & Moss is currently developing a full line of additional pant styles and fabrics, outerwear, tops, and accessories.

Moxie & Moss products, brand, and philosophy are the embodiment of Oregon’s entrepreneurial culture. Moxie & Moss Workwear seeks to design for and support women who are deepening the Pacific Northwest traditions of trade, resourcefulness, and craft. The business is committed to ethical practices and scaling a local company for global reach. Moxie & Moss also partners with Oregon Tradeswomen, Inc. where a percentage of its sales go to The Maven Scholarship Fund. For more information visit moxieandmoss.com.
