“She flies with her own wings.”
Emblazoned on the building, bottles and flasks, gift sets and stickers, Oregon’s motto makes sense as the slogan for Freeland Spirits Distillery– a group of women whose resourcefulness cannot be contained.
Founded by Jill Kuehler (pictured above in the Wabash Stripe Coveralls), Freeland is one of the few distilleries in the world owned and operated by women, dedicated to crafting gin, bourbon, and other spirits with a touch of artistry and innovation.
At Freeland, everyone brings unique expertise and passion to the process, from sustainable sourcing to distillation to branding, every sip of their spirits honor craftsmanship and ingenuity.

Freeland Spirits’ tasting rooms in Portland and Bend, Oregon offer classic cocktails with a modern twist, like negronis, manhattans and a delicious hot toddy when the weather cools.
Dana separates compounds in the alcohol to enhance botanical infusion during the distilling process.
Marketing Manager Barbara stocks shelves in the Portland tasting room. Freeland Spirits offers their signature Gin, a Forest Gin made with a mix of locally-sourced botanicals, Dry Gin, a signature Bourbon and their Cask Strength Bourbon, and a Rye Whiskey.
