Exchanges & Returns Policy

As you know, Dovetail Workwear is a women-run startup and every dollar counts as we build this mission and movement. If a product is not quite right, we would love to work with you to find one that is. If you must return an item, we understand. Please ensure that it is new, unworn, unwashed and includes all of the original packaging. Please return within 30 days of purchase. If your return is outside of 30 days, you will receive store credit. Thank you!

Detailed instructions follow below: 

Exchanges

If you need to exchange a Dovetail Workwear item for a different size, please email us directly at: cs@dovetailworkwear.com. Naturally, we will also replace items if they are defective or damaged.

    Once your exchange request is received, we will email you back with the necessary steps to follow. For eligible exchanges, you'll receive a prepaid shipping label to print and paste on the original package - please include:

    1. the product(s)
    2. copy of the packing slip

    Anyone using our return shipping labels will automatically be tracked.

    After we receive your item(s), note that it can take 5-7 days to fully process the exchange. We’ll ship out your new size as soon as your original products are on the way back to us.

    Our shipping rates are: 

    Weight Price Typical Shipment for Weight
    0-1lb $4.95  (small accessories)
    1-3lb $7.95  (pair of pants or overalls)
    3+ $11.95 (multiple pairs of pants)

     

    • Exchanges – free shipping both ways
    • Returns – shipping deducted out of refund
    • Shipping times are usually pretty quick—3-5 days.

     

    Refunds

    If you need to return a Dovetail item, please email us directly at: cs@dovetailworkwear.com within 30 days of receiving your shipment.

      Once your return request is received, we will email you back. For eligible returns, you'll receive a prepaid shipping label to print and paste on the original package - please include:

      1. the product(s)
      2. copy of the packing slip

      After we receive your item(s), note that it can take 5-7 days to fully process the return. If you are approved, your refund will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 30 days. Please allow up to 10 business days to see refunds reflected on your credit card statement. Please note that for refunds, the cost of shipping will be deducted from the total refund.

      Please note that your refund will come from "Portland Product Werks". 

      Late or missing refunds (if applicable):

      If you haven’t received a refund yet, check your bank account first. Then contact your credit card company. It may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. Still no luck? Please contact us at cs@dovetailworkwear.com.

      Dovetail Workwear gift cards cannot be returned. If you receive a gift card, and you already own every single one of our products, and you cannot possibly find a use for the gift card, we suggest donating it to Oregon Tradeswomen Inc. at http://www.tradeswomen.net/ Someone there will be sure to find a use for it, and a big part of our mission is to support women in the trades.
